An avatar is like a team logo or picture. It goes on the left side by your username.

Hopefully I got all the MLB teams! Can't so players, sorry guys, but you can get an avatar from a site and use it yourself. Click profile at top, then modify profile and go down to avatars and put the link in. Enjoy!

Now, you are able to edit your profile. Scroll down till you see this: Insert the avatar here, and put about size 65 on the two sizes.
