Yup. Heard about this. TERRIBLE for the hobby. I blame it on the Wieters Upper Deck Auto. That was the straw that broke the camels back (UD teaming up with Razor).

Actually, I kinda like this... Upper Deck's quality control has been utterly ridiculous the past 5+ years. And Topps runs Bowman, which is pretty much the main cards I buy. I only buy Topps products and Minor League stuff anyway.
Upper Deck got sued over a Fake Babe Ruth auto... I've seen several cards with the auto upside down, or the wrong person's signature on it.
The only real problem with this is the exclusive contracts UD has, (Like Griffey, Pujols, etc)

Besides Bowman, they are pretty much the same. But now with UD out of the way, they aren't pressured to make good products. |
