I hate it for short term, but for long term it was smart. They tried to free up cap space to get LBJ when he is a free agent.
Nets Send Richard Jefferson for Bobby Simmons (bust) and Yi Jianlian. Yi was a top pick 7ft center from China. I think he could be good. He is only 20, so he has time.

Yes it was they gave up Yi for RJ
because Simmons is just crap they threw it.
