Well Phillies are in contention, the A's are basically out of it. If the Phils make the playoffs this year then it was a good move. If they don't and in a few years the A's are in it then it was a terrible move for the Phils, we'll just have to see how this pans out.

I agree, if Blanton pitches Horrible and it turns into a bad move but if he pitches decent and helps them to playoffs then its good, and ANYTHING is better then having to start Adam Eaton

Beane is the GM I believe not the manager unless you meant GM. I'm actually fine with the deal and as for the A's in a perfect world every prospect would become a 300+,100 RBI, 30 HR guy but everyone knows this world isn't perfect.

Ya they have alot of young talent like Eric Patterson, Sean Gallager, Adrian Cardenas, Travis Buck, Ryan Sweeny etc...
